Mehfil brings the storytelling traditions of the North into conversation with the temple dances of the South. Kathak and Bharatanatyam meet in a playful exchange, weaving distinct movement vocabularies into one celebration.
Musical influences drawn from Thumri, Khayal and Sufi traditions blend with South Indian Javalis. Guiding the gathering is the Kathakar—the narrator—who connects its episodes and draws the audience into each unfolding story.
