Dewarists

A popular MTV musical television series, Dewarists showcases artists from across the world, with the season 3 focussing on co-creation. The finale saw a collaboration of form, genre, media and style – between Mayuri Upadhya, Raghu Dixit’s folk-rock collective, the graffitti artist Robert Harun and the mask maker, Sridhar Murthy.

Working together, they found balanced connections in the way of a stroyline which made each one an inspired contributor. Mayuri brought all elements together in her choreography where each art form had an equally important role to play. With elements of dance, music, masks and painting, the finale sequence explored the eccentricities of human behaviour – of illusion, of deception, and of facades.
